With whispers of a The Office revival, fans are hoping to see their favorite cast members return to Dunder Mifflin once more. One of the main characters is Dwight Schrute, who quickly became noted as odd but side-splittingly funny.

Like with the rest of the paper merchant employees, Dwight was such a well-written character that audiences were able to tune into his personality and get a clear sense of what made him tick. With that said, there are plenty of quotes which typify Dwight and perfectly sum him up.

"I Don't Have A Lot Of Experience With Vampires..."

Season 3, Episode 17 - "Business School"

Dwight from The Offic

Some may have encountered wild animals, but of course, Dwight's experiences are one step further as he goes on to clarify that he does have experience with werewolves. Speaking of the fictional beings, he goes on to explain how he shot one once, only to find it had turned back into the form of his neighbor's dog.

Instead of hearing the story he was telling and coming to the most obvious conclusion of the supposed werewolf always being his neighbor's dog, Dwight continues with the folklorist tale. But it's only to be expected of the Dunder Mifflin employee.

"...I Can Raise And Lower My Cholesterol."

Season 1, Episode 3 - "Health Care"

Dwight Schrute from The Office

Dwight is definitely the character with the most random thoughts and lines (except for maybe Creed). He says things that are just impossible but delivers his ridiculousness with absolute conviction.

Explaining to Pam that Schrutes have superior brain power, he adds how he's able to alter his cholesterol just with his mind. Of course, that can never happen, and Pam questions why anyone would want to do that even if they could. He's not phased by the reaction and stands by what he said, just as he always does.

"You Can Drive It In 30 Minutes. If You Drive 240 mph."

Season 9, Episode 11 - "Suit Warehouse."

Dwight Schrute from The Office

As one of Dwight's most ridiculous quotes in The Office, he tries to come up with what he believes to be a feasible solution to Jim not being around to help with a sale.

Getting to know the character over 9 seasons allowed audiences to come to terms with Dwight's ludicrous suggestions and simply embrace the laughter. The other element to the quote which helps to sum up Dwight, is that he says it without any sarcasm, irony, or humor. He is absolutely serious.

"Today, Smoking Is Gonna Save Lives."

Season 5, Episode 13 - "Stress Relief"

Dwight smugly heats a door handle with a blowtorch on The Office.

Dwight may be a sales rep at Dunder Mifflin, but he sees himself as so much more than that, on top of taking his job way too seriously.

As part of what Dwight believes are his duties, he decides to teach his colleagues a disturbing lesson of how to escape a fire by using a cigarette to start one. His attempt to seem motivational has a complete opposite effect, but it's nothing unusual from Dwight. Afterward, he doesn't understand why others are upset, a running trend with Dwight when he takes things too far.

"Parkour!"

Season 6, Episode 1 - "Gossip"

Andy, Michael, and Dwight doing parkour in The Office

Dwight and Michael have a pretty good relationship, mainly because the pair share in their unrealistic ideas and eccentric ways, but also because like Dwight, Michael can make some dumb decisions.

After learning of the latest internet craze (far too late), along with Andy, Michael and Dwight also attempt it. Whilst shouting the word "parkour!" they each throw themselves around the office, believing to be skilled. Dwight backs himself in everything he does, and to his mind, just saying the word and having a go is as good as being professional.

"We Search For The Organs."

Season 5, Episode 13 - "Stress Relief"

The word dramatic springs to mind when describing Dwight and this quote proves precisely why. After Stanley's heart attack, the employees have to undergo first aid training, which was only ever going to end in absurdity.

Because of Michael's inability to successfully carry out CPR on a dummy, the instructor explains the person would have died. The exercise should have ended there, but not for Dwight. During the main character's funniest scene, his next port of call is to look for the organs. It's absolutely not necessary and leaves everyone pretty shocked.

"Who Did This To You? Where Is He?"

Season 3, Episode 12 - "Back From Vacation"

Dwight does have a knack for upsetting people and saying things when he shouldn't. But, there is a little more to the unconventional character, beautifully summed up in this quote.

After Pam's heartbreak at seeing Jim and Karen reconcile, she goes back to the office to let out her emotions, to which Dwight displays one of his surprisingly wholesome moments and tries to comfort her, by showing his willingness to defend her. He doesn't always show much sympathy, but when he does, it's very moving.

"Those Who Can't Farm, Farm Celery."

Season 8, Episode 19 - "Get The Girl."

Dwight dressed as Jim in The Office

It's no secret that Dwight owns a beet farm, which he has proudly announced on more than one occasion. His unique way of living is often topic of conversation, especially for Jim and Pam.

However, for a lot of other people, beet farming is a fairly new concept, let alone celery farming. It perfectly sums up Dwight because he says it as if everyone would know what he means. He's not always aware of how outlandish his life is and it can come across in his words.

"Five Minutes Ahead Of Schedule. Right On Schedule."

Season 6, Episode 12 - "Scott's Tots"

Dwight prides himself on a lot of things. His farming ability, his work ethic, even the way he treats women. In fact, there's almost nothing he won't find a reason to boast about.

Announcing that he's on schedule even though he's five minutes ahead is both hilarious and a typical way of him complimenting himself. Not only does it not make sense, but he's also showing off about being early. It's not completely said for laughs, though, as Dwight is repeatedly shown to be a great salesman.

"I Can't Believe You Came."

Season 9, Episode 23 - "The Finale"

Dwight and Angela dance at their wedding on The Office

The finale of The Office came all too soon for fans of the show. The much loved characters were going to be (and are) greatly missed. But the writers were too good to make the last episode anything but brilliant.

Jim is set to be Dwight's best man, but what he doesn't realize is the plan for Michael to do the job instead. When Dwight sees him, he expresses how shocked he is. It wonderfully represents the admiration and respect he has always felt for his boss and again, showed a little emotion from Dwight that was always beneath the surface.
